Hi, Do you know if Finbo is based on a Sri Lankan folk tale? I am a drama teacher producing an elementary school wide production of folk tales from around the world. We have many Sri Lankan immigrants. Our theme is acts of kindness. Thank you,

Dear Ms. Sooriyachi,

I'm a medical doctor in Kenya. I got to know about this book in an internet blog. Your works are amazingly beautiful, even though I cant read most of them I enjoyed looking at your illustrations. And I read the biography too. You are wonderfully talented in many fields.. (You are very pretty, I should say, An uncommon beauty.).

I read most of the stories to kids kids in an orphanage. They loved the stories very much. I read this story too.

Your style is very attractive.  Wish you all the best and good luck.

Dear janaki,

I happened  to read a book written and illustrated by you named 'Koombi Koochchiya" (Ant Train). It was very attractive and  nicely written with nice pictures and reasonably priced And it was printed on very good paper also. Are all your books  poem books ? And wish you all the best with all your work.

Dear Janaki,

I m really happy to see a website of yours with so many books for FREE. And I got the chance of writing you to say thank you.

I was reading your books for few years ( I am just few years elder to you). And  I should say that I love all those books of yours and your flair of writing. I used to read Russian stories and Sybil Aunty's books. And I got the taste of your books in 2006. Actually I saw you in the BMICH book sale, in your stall, but at that time I never thought it could be your. I expected some one old like Sybil Aunty..

Actually I should say it's really surprising that an author is so humble and generous to share her books so freely. and I'm very thankful to you for that as there is no way to buy your books (at the moment I am not in SL).

Without wasting time, just want to say Thank very Much. You have the talent to make anyone a child himself. Especially with the books like kussiye hilman, yaka pancha, bada ooya....

Keep it up, and wish you all the very best.

Thanks and best regards

Anusha

Dear Miss. Sooriyarachchi, I read your books to my kids. In my last visit to sri lanka I bought a lot of your books from sarasavi. My eldest son loves this book "Finbo". I read it to him every night. Happy to hear that your books are online.
